Look up. Rolex just released two new Sky-Dwellers.

These dial colors are a fun addition to Rolex's most complicated modern watch. The mint green dial is a color reserved until now for the Datejust, and the blue-green dial is solely available on this new S-D model.

Both new iterations remain true to Sky-Dweller form: 42mm diameter, fluted bi-directional rotating bezel, 100 meters water resistance, dual time zone, and Saros annual calendar. But this is the first time a white Rolesor version is available on Oysterflex.

The Sky-Dweller is now equipped with calibre  9002, an evolution of calibre 9001. This new movement includes the Chronergy escapement and is fitted with a blue Parachrom hairspring, made in a paramagnetic alloy. The power reserve of caliber 9002 extends to approximately 72 hours.

What We Think

Complicated and 42mm, the Sky-Dweller isn't my typical kind of watch. James Stacey and Danny Milton let me know that they are very into the annual calendar Saros complication, so I'll have to take their word for it being cool. What I know for sure is that new blue-green dial is delicious. And the fact that it's only available on this model makes it all the more covetable.
